Consisting of Trolamina and 75% of water, the BiafineAct emulsion creates and maintains a humid climate favorable to the cure of superficial and small burns, including sunburns.
Biafine, an emulsion composed of 75% of water, brings the water into the dermis and the thicker the applied layer, the greater the amount of hydration.
BiafineAct brings a calming sensation since the first application; It should be applied in a thick layer until the skin is discarded and should be repeated two to four times a day.
As its formula causes a semi-occlusive effect, BiafineAct isolates the lesion from exogenous contaminations and controls the loss of water by perspiration.
BIAFINE is indicated for use in:
BIAFINE is contraindicated for use on bleeding wounds, skin rashes related to food or medicine allergies, and when an allergy to one of the ingredients is known.
Treatment of superficial and small burns, including localized sunburn: apply in a thick layer until skin refuses. Get penetrated by a light massage.
Renew 2 to 4 times a day.
Uninfected skin wounds: after cleaning the wound, apply a thick layer far beyond the surface of the lesion and reapply to always maintain a surplus of emulsion on the lesion.

The French chemist Wenmaekers developed the BIAFINE® formula in 1971 for his daughter-in-law, who had incurred burn injuries. She was so impressed by the soothing effect of the emulsion that she decided to introduce the formula to hospital. This is how the product was officially marketed in France with effect from 1976. Since then, the medicinal product BIAFINE® Emulsion has been handed on from generation to generation.
Been using Biafine for radiation burns on neck. It's very helpful and soothing to the skin.
Biafine Emulsion Tube Cream
I had an allergic reaction (hives and burning) to the cream I was prescribed for radiation. I looked online and found recommendations for biafine. It worked great for me and calmed down and healed the problems caused by the other cream. I've also had excellent results using it for other skin problems.
This product was wonderful with my husband's sensitive skin, it leaves the skin hydrated and beautiful, and it is a very light moisturizer
