SKIN
ANALYSIS

Consisting of Trolamina and 75% of water, the BiafineAct emulsion creates and maintains a humid climate favorable to the cure of superficial and small burns, including sunburns.

Biafine, an emulsion composed of 75% of water, brings the water into the dermis and the thicker the applied layer, the greater the amount of hydration.

BiafineAct brings a calming sensation since the first application; It should be applied in a thick layer until the skin is discarded and should be repeated two to four times a day.

As its formula causes a semi-occlusive effect, BiafineAct isolates the lesion from exogenous contaminations and controls the loss of water by perspiration.

BIAFINE is indicated for use in:

  • Full Thickness Wounds, Pressure Sores, Dermal Ulcers including Lower Leg Ulcers
  • Superficial Wounds
  • 1st and 2nd Degree Burns, including Sunburns
  • Dermal Donor and Graft Site Management
  • Radiation Dermatitis
  • Minor Abrasions

BIAFINE is contraindicated for use on bleeding wounds, skin rashes related to food or medicine allergies, and when an allergy to one of the ingredients is known.

Treatment of superficial and small burns, including localized sunburn: apply in a thick layer until skin refuses. Get penetrated by a light massage.
Renew 2 to 4 times a day.
Uninfected skin wounds: after cleaning the wound, apply a thick layer far beyond the surface of the lesion and reapply to always maintain a surplus of emulsion on the lesion.

  • Trolamine 0.670 g per 100 g emulsion for cutaneous application.

+BIAFINE contains purified water, liquid paraffin, ethylene glycol monostearate, stearic acid, propylene glycol, paraffin wax, squalane, avocado oil, trolamine/sodium alginate, triethanolamine, cetyl palmitate, methylparaben (sodium salt), sorbic acid (potassium salt), propylparaben (sodium salt), and fragrance.

The French chemist Wenmaekers developed the BIAFINE® formula in 1971 for his daughter-in-law, who had incurred burn injuries. She was so impressed by the soothing effect of the emulsion that she decided to introduce the formula to hospital. This is how the product was officially marketed in France with effect from 1976. Since then, the  medicinal product  BIAFINE® Emulsion has been handed on from generation to generation.

Great cream

I found this cream to be very helpful while I was having radiation treatments for breast cancer. It is excellent!

Love!!!!

This product is the best after laser peels. I get a co2 done once a year and I have to have this product. Seals in moisture, takes the pain away from extreme dryness and is not greasy. I hate products that are greasy because it gets in your eyes and hair while sleeping. No way!

Why is this an RX in the US?

I have to get skin treatments to rid my skin of pre-cancer about once a year and the dr always prescribes this. My insurance always fights me on it, so this year, I didn’t ask for the RX and simply bought the French version direct from the French Store. I got three times as much for half of what my copay would have been. And no fights with insurance. Never knew French Store existed until now, but I know I will be using them a lot more in the future once I saw the variety of products they have! Love my Biafine, too!

BIAFINE: A Must Have

I first used BIAFINE after radiation treatment. My back was badly burned and BIAFINE was prescribed. It soothed and treated the sores and blisters. After treatment I had BIAFINE left and I tried it on other skin problems. Abrasions, rashes, bruises , any skin damage, was made better. For me, it is now a necessity.
