La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Balm B5+

This cream is awesome, I love it for regular use, or if I had a peel or procedure done, it’s so hydrating and repairing. It’s always sold out, but for good reason. I do wonder if this version/ingredients is the same as the US versions, would love to see that on this site, a comparison between ingredients that each countries allow and don’t allow. Other than that, this cream (I wouldn’t say it’s a “balm” but heavier cream) is something I’ll never be without!

I have very oily acne prone skin that is dehydrated and it doesn't help that my acne medication dries out my skin even more. To solve my tight and irritated skin I have tried slugging with petroleum jelly. While petroleum jelly did help in maintaining hydration and repairing my skin barrier I hated the greasy feeling even though I only use a small amount. I have also experienced an increase in whiteheads in the morning when slugging with petroleum jelly. After searching I decided to buy the Cicaplast Balm and I'm so glad I did! The product comes out as a thick white cream which can work as a stand alone moisturizer. I use this product after my regular night time skincare routine and after my moisturizer just like how I would when slugging. I don't use much (nor do you need much- a little goes a long way) because it can create a slight white cast on my skin, not anything ghostly though. It goes on very easy and absorbs into the skin well with no residue. There is no oily or heavy feeling and it feels like I've got nothing on my skin yet it feels moisturized and smooth. Because the product has cica, it helped calmed my acne especially those painful, red, itchy cystic ones that takes weeks to heal and leaves scars that last for months. My skin no longer feels tight since incorporating this product into my nighttime routine and I continue to use this even though my skin is healed because I will forever have acne that needs some soothing. It has not clogged my skin creating new breakouts or irritation which I greatly appreciate! If you want to try an occlusive product to aid a compromised skin barrier without the greasy slip of petroleum jelly, I highly recommend the Cicaplast Balm. I will continue to repurchase this product especially the 100ml tube!

This is a great product. I have comination skin that tends to be on the oilier side. This lotion is thick and very moisturizing. I have used it on my face in very dry climates and it does the trick with 0 breakouts!
