The Secret Behind Innoxa Gouttes Bleues

Shhh. Don’t tell anyone. French Pharmacy has the inside scoop about one of the most effective eye drop products available in the world; Innoxa Gouttes Bleues - also known as Innoxa Blue Drops. We can’t think of a better audience to share our secret with than our loyal customers.

Obviously, it’s not a complete secret, or we wouldn’t be sharing it with everybody…however, there is a reason why people around the world use Blue Drops by Innoxa and continue to use them time after time.

Let us explain.

What Makes Innoxa Blue Drops Different?

As most people know, there are literally thousands of other types of eyedrops on the market that boast of “beneficial ingredients” that are healthy and nourishing for the eyes. Out of all of the other options that are available, why would Innoxa be the best choice?

The reason is simple.

When Innoxa formulates the blue drops and all of the other products that they offer, they only use natural ingredients that are genuinely helpful - and not harmful.  All the ingredients in the solution work together in order to gently provide:

  • Clear eyes
  • Hydration
  • Protection
  • Cleansing
  • Soothing

Optimal eye health depends on these factors.

What you may not know…

Most of the popular products for removing redness from the eyes are formulated with a drug that targets the blood vessels in the eyes and constricts them so that there is less blood flow.

Of course, by reducing the blood flow within the tiny blood vessels in the eyes you can reduce the appearance of bloodshot eyes for a short amount of time. However, this type of drug is not meant to be used on a daily basis. Repeated and overuse of products that include ingredients such as tetrahydrozoline or naphazoline can lead to problems…it even says so on the package.

Innoxa keeps the ingredients of their products simple.

The difference between the Innoxa Blue Drops and other eye drops is that the ingredients are simple, free of toxins, and promote eye health.

What Are The Blue Drops Made Of?

Since Innoxa makes it a point to create products that are made from natural, sustainable ingredients it is not a surprise to learn that there are only a few ingredients that make up the Innoxa Gouttes Bleues product:

  • Floral distilled waters - also known as flower water
  • Cornflower, melilot - which has anti-inflammatory properties
  • Chamomile - which has soothing properties
  • Euphrasia - which initiates radiance
  • Methylene blue - which helps to whiten the eyes
  • Trehalose - which promotes hydration and protects the cornea
  • Sodium chloride - which regulates the pH levels and provides electrolytes

Let’s break down these ingredients and see what they are…

Floral Distilled Waters

Better known as “floral water”, this ingredient is the essential oils of flowers that have been distilled to remove all contaminants and then infused with purified water. Pure water has the ability to cleanse the eyes while the subtle, fragrant essential oil of flowers gently lubricates and soothes the eye while delivering the unique benefits that each one has to offer.

The flowers that are used to infuse with the water are:

  • Cornflower
  • Melilot
  • Chamomile
  • Euphrasia

Cornflower is a plant with a beautiful blue flower that is native to Spain, France, Greece, Turkey, and throughout the Mediterranean Basin. Also known as “bachelor buttons” at one time it was considered to be merely a weed that grows among the cornfields. It is well known for its ability to reinforce the immune system and reduce tissue inflammation.

In past times, people would drink tea that was brewed from dried cornflower to help with constipation, high fever, and congestion. In other cases, people would apply cornflower directly to the eyes to help with discomfort and irritation.

Because of its gentle healing properties, it makes a great addition to the rest of the ingredients in the Blue Drops formula. It calms, reduces inflammation, and helps to soothe the tissue of the eye.

However, since it is a plant there are people that are sensitive to it or are allergic to it so it is important to know your allergies and be aware of any sensitivities you may have.

Melilot is also known as sweet clover. It has a pretty yellow flower and a sweet, beautiful fragrance.  Although it is originally from Europe and Asia it is now popular all over the planet. Melilot has been recognized as an herb with medicinal qualities that reduce minor inflammation.

There is evidence that the melilot root was used for medicinal purposes in ancient times. In addition to its anti-inflammatory capabilities, it is believed to have the ability to help with circulation and to assist the body with restoring optimal blood flow.

Chamomile is a plant with pretty daisy-like flowers that have delicate white petals with a bright yellow central disc. The captivating fragrance alone is enough to initiate a relaxing experience. One of the most popular benefits of this particular herb is that it has the ability to promote relaxation and calmness when drank as a tea.

People have been enjoying the benefits of chamomile for centuries. In addition to its calming properties, it has been used to relieve mild symptoms due to inflammation, hay fever, muscle spasms, menstrual discomfort, and even gastrointestinal issues.

Euphrasia, also commonly called “eyebright” is a plant with a beautiful flower much like an orchid. Ophthalmologists have prescribed drops that contain this herb as a solution for conjunctival issues for many years. It has proven to be a natural, healthy solution for optimal eye health.

Studies have shown that euphrasia can be effective for the treatment of minor eye conditions such as redness, blepharitis (inflammation of the eyelids), dry eyes, allergic reactions, and conjunctivitis (also known as “pink eye”).

Methylene Blue

Methylene blue is also referred to as methylthioninium chloride. As a medicine, it is used to treat certain ailments that affect the blood. It is also a common dye that is used to visually detect abnormalities in cells and around organs.

In Innoxa Gouttes Bleus, it is used as a mild, blue dye that covers the surface of the eye in order to remove the appearance of red, bloodshot eyes and yellowness. It works because the color of the dye enhances and intensifies the underlying colors so that the white of the eye (the sclera) becomes brilliantly white, and the iris, where the eye color is, becomes radiant and brilliantly illuminated.

This “bluing” effect leaves the eyes looking refreshed, intense, and full of powerful energy. No more red, irritated, tired eyes. Now the eyes look alive, young, and ready to take on the world.

It is no surprise that actors, actresses, supermodels, and other people that are in the spotlight have been using blue drops for a long time.

Trehalose

Trehalose is a natural sugar that is made up of two glucose molecules. One of its more popular uses is to be an ingredient in artificial tears in order to help combat and relieve the symptoms of dry eye. It has the ability to hydrate the eyes and provide protection from the breakdown of essential proteins caused by the absence of hydration.

In fact, the Japanese use trehalose to prolong the shelf life of stored foods. The substance helps to prevent foods from becoming dried out and stale. In the same manner as it helps to protect food, it has the capacity to keep the eyes from drying out as well.

Sodium Chloride

Sodium chloride is commonly known as salt. Although too much sodium intake for people can cause hypertension and other health problems when there is not enough we can die. The three basic ingredients of human tears are water, sodium, mucus, and a certain type of lipid that acts as a lubricant and protectant for the eye. Any eye drop that claims to be beneficial for the eyes and has the ability to relieve dryness must be endowed with sodium.

Since sodium chloride can be a deadly double-edged sword, it is important to understand that balance is key. The human body and brain need a tiny amount of sodium in order to properly send signals along nerves and communicate through neurons. Too much sodium, however, will retain water and cause gross inflammation throughout the body due to water retention. This can affect all of the major organs including the heart and lungs.

The amount of sodium chloride in the blue drops is minimal and is merely present in order to mimic the sodium that is found in human tears.

Overall Benefits of Using Blue Drops

One of the biggest problems that people that are aging have to face is the absence of the production of tears. Over time and due to varying circumstances the tear ducts fail to produce an adequate amount of tears.

The tears not only help to keep the eyes cleansed and free of debris, but they also lubricate the surface of the eyes so that when a person blinks, the lids do not rub the tender membrane of the eyes raw.

When there are no tears to moisturize the eyes and protect them from the elements the eyes become dry, itchy, and even painful.

The ingredients of the Innoxa Gouttes Bleues eyedrops work together synergistically to alleviate redness, moisturize the eyes, and soothe the discomfort that comes with having irritated eyes.

Unlike drops that contain chemicals and drugs that force the appearance of the eyes to look a certain way, the Innoxa Gouttes Bleues are gentle and safe to use on a daily basis if necessary.

The major functions of the blue drops are to:

  • Reduce redness in the eyes
  • Relieve itching and discomfort from having dried-out eyes
  • Replenish moisture by hydrating the eyes
  • Refresh the appearance of the eyes

Advanced Laboratories

If you picture a typical laboratory that you see on television shows or movies you will probably imagine an array of flasks, boiling cauldrons, a neatly organized work table, and other scientific odds and ends that allow lab technicians and scientists to do experiments.

In addition to qualified equipment and substances, the team that works in the laboratory has to know what they are doing in order to accurately create substances by combining other substances.

The Innoxa laboratory in France is equipped with some of the most technologically advanced equipment known to man and has a highly educated crew of world-renowned scientists and doctors.

When it comes to putting a solution directly into your eyes it is wise to understand exactly what it is and where it came from. The great thing about Innoxa Gouttes Bleues is that it is created by a team of experienced engineers in a facility that is second to none.

How to Use Innoxa Gouttes Bleues

One important detail that you must be aware of is that you should not use this product while wearing contact lenses. If you can function without your contacts and would like to use the drops without them, it is OK, but do not mix contacts with the blue drops.

We mentioned earlier that it is important to know if you have any allergies or sensitivities to any of the ingredients that you put in your eyes. The first thing to do is to be sure that you are not allergic to any of the ingredients.

If you are not sure you can ask your doctor how to discern whether or not you will get a reaction from using the product.

When you are ready, applying the drops is fairly easy, much like any other eyedrop procedure. The first step is to remove the cap on the bottle and be prepared to hold the eyedropper over your eye.

It is recommended that you use the fingers of one of your hands to hold your eyelids open as you administer the drops. First, tilt your head back so that it is as parallel to the earth as possible. The tilted head provides a flat surface where the eyedrops can enter the eyes and not simply drip away as gravity pulls them downward.

Carefully hold the eyedropper bottle over the eye that you want to administer the drops into and allow a couple of drops to fall directly into the eye. Try to be as smooth and easy as possible. Your initial reaction will be to blink, and that’s ok, as long as you keep your head tilted and allow the solution to stand on your eye for a few seconds.

Once you finish administering the drops in one eye, repeat the process with the other one. Keep the head tilted back for 10 seconds or so to make sure that the drops have a chance to remain on the surface of the eye long enough to have an effect.

Next, go on about your adventures looking energized and fabulous.

At the End of the Day

At the end of the day, the Innoxa Gouttes Blues formula is not for everybody. As we mentioned earlier, some people have allergies, some people wear contacts, and some people would rather use other types of eyedrops. That’s OK. For the people that can use it, there are a lot of benefits to gain. It is a nice, clean, natural product that was created by brilliant French minds. What more could you ask for?
